Summer 2009

Aaron and I decided today that we were going to become better bloggers....I don't even know where to start. This summer has been a crazy one. Full of so many unexpected surprises. Aaron started off this summer by cutting off his fingers with a skill saw. I was at work when I got a call from his coworker saying that Aaron had just been rushed to the ER due to a saw accident and I needed to get there as soon as possible. Of course I expected the worst and drove to the hospital totally hysterical. After being at the hospital for 8 hours they finally stitched up his fingers and sent us home. The next day we went to a plastic surgeon/hand doctor who gave Aaron the option to just finish cutting off his fingers or to do a bone graft (don't know how to spell) from his wrist and put it in his fingertips with some pins. Aaron wanted to keep his fingers so the next day he went in for his surgery. We were both super nervous but all went well and Aaron's fingers are doing really well. We would like to thank all of you for your support and prayers!
Aaron and I were able to go to San Diego for my birthday. It was a blast! Aaron served his mission there so he was able to take me to tons of amazingly beautiful places. We fell asleep on one of the beaches and spent the rest of our trip lathering aloe vera on each other's burns. The last day we were there Aaron took me to breakfast at a romantic little place looking over the ocean. It was beautiful!
About two weeks after returning home we found out that we were pregnant! We were so surprised due to the fact we were still on birth control. It almost didn't seem real but at our first doctors visit we heard the heartbeat and it all became reality. Hearing the heartbeat was so amazing! Aaron's mom introduced me to a website (babycenter.com) it keeps you updated on your baby and answers questions about your pregnancy and stuff. It has been very interesting and exciting to be updated on what's happening. I am 4 1/2 months along and have felt the baby's little movements at times. Tomorrow we will find out when our ultrasound to find out the gender will be. Aaron and I are hoping for twins :) We might regret wishing that if it does come true but we are getting excited to find out what we will be having so we can start shopping.
Aaron has had a busy summer working for Seven Peaks but he loves his job and is good at what he does. He will be starting school up again at UVU the end of this month. I work at the Utah State Developmental Center where I take care of 6 mentally handicap ladies. It can be a very challenging job but very rewarding. I just switched to a morning position so I can spend more time with Aaron and we are loving the time we have together.
We just spent last weekend up in Boise at Aaron's parents' house. We had a lot of fun with Tracy. Tracy with very afraid of water but we convinced her to come boating with us and Aaron's friends and we had a really good time. We are proud of you Tracy!! Aaron's dog (Sadie) seemed to like me more this trip. She bit me last time we went up there and glares at me all the time for 'stealing' Aaron.
I have spent the last couple days school clothes shopping with my little sisters. I miss those days...sometimes ha. I have alot of fun with my little sisters. I think that has been one of the hardest things about being married is not having as much time to spend with them. I miss them.
I have enjoyed spending this summer with Aaron. He is such a good husband and he always keeps me laughing. I love you Aaron! We wish we had more couples to hang out with but we do have fun together.
Hope you all are having a good summer!
